The Calathea Zebrina features stunning soft, velvety leaves with different shades of green, giving it that zebra stripe look. The undersides of the leaves are a deep purple color. They are non toxic to cats and dogs, so it is a great pet friendly plant!
Water when the top inch of soil is dry, and make sure to fully saturate the plant until water drips out the bottom of the pot.
Do not let the plant become too dry or it will lead to crispy tips on the leaves, and it will be susceptible to spider mites. Spider mites thrive in low humidity settings, so be sure to place your calathea near a humidifier.
Calatheas like to be in bright, indirect light. Place near a sunny window, but make sure to not put your plant in direct sunlight, or it will cause the leaves to burn.
