The Wax Ivy or Senecio Macroglossus ‘Variegatus’ is a beautiful trailing plant with succulent stems and waxy ivy-like leaves. The leaves are ivy shaped and are deep green with creamy white/yellow margins.
They can also produce daisy-like yellow flowers! Wax ivy is related to the string of pearls. This is a great alternative to ivy plants since english ivy is very prone to pests like spider mites.
Place in a bright sunny location, as this is a type of succulent so it can handle higher light conditions. A southern or western facing window is best.
Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry. Do not overwater!
